Loans

• Federal Perkins Loans:  Federal loan program.
• Federal Subsidized Stafford Loans:  Includes subsidized Stafford loans from the Federal Direct Student loan program (FDSL) and from the Federal Family Education Loans (FFEL) program.
• Federal Unsubsidized Stafford Loans:  Includes unsubsidized Stafford loans from the Federal Direct Student loan program (FDSL) and from the Federal Family Education Loans (FFEL) program.
• Federal Parent Loans for Undergraduate Students (PLUS Loans):  Include PLUS loans from both the Federal Direct Student loan program (FDSL) and from the Federal Family Education Loans program (e.g., Direct PLUS, and PLUS).
• Other Federal Loans:  Includes other Federal loans such as Federal Health Professions Student Loan, Federally Insured Nursing Loans, etc.
• Institutional Loans:  Includes loans awarded, disbursed, and funded by the institution.  Do not include emergency short-term loans funded by your institution, which require repayment within six months of the loan award date.
• Loans from Private Sources:  Includes loans awarded and funded by private sources outside the institution.  Also include loans from foundations.

Scholarships

• Child Care Provider Scholarship:  This is a state administered scholarship program for degree-seeking undergraduate students.
• Developmental Disabilities, Mental Health, Child Welfare, and Juvenile Justice Workforce Tuition Assistance Program:  This is a state administered program for full-time and part-time undergraduate and graduate students.
• Distinguished Scholar Award:  This is a state administered program awarded to undergraduate students.
• Delegate Scholarship:  This is a state administered scholarship program for full-time or part-time, degree-seeking undergraduate and graduate students.
• Senatorial Scholarship:  This is a state administered scholarship program for full-time or part-time, degree-seeking undergraduate and graduate students.
• HOPE Community College Transfer Scholarship [Discontinued]:  This is a state administered scholarship program for Maryland community college students who will have completed at least 60 credits or earned an associate's degree by the end of the semester in which they transferred to a Maryland four-year institution.
• HOPE (General) Scholarship:  This is a state administered scholarship program for full-time, degree-seeking undergraduate students.
• Distinguished Scholar Teacher Education Award:  This is a state administered scholarship program.
• Maryland Teacher Scholarship:  This is a state administered scholarship program for full-time and part-time degree-seeking undergraduate and graduate students.
• Sharon Christa McAuliffe Memorial Teacher Education Award:  This is a state administered award program for undergraduate and graduate students with at least 60 semester credit hours, college graduates and teachers certified in a non-critical shortage area.
• State Nursing Scholarship and Living Expense Grant:  This is a state administered grant program for degree-seeking undergraduate and graduate students.
• Physical and Occupational Therapists and Assistants Grant Program:  This is a state administered grant program for full-time, degree-seeking undergraduate and graduate students.
• Science and Technology Scholarship:  This is a state administered scholarship program for full-time degree-seeking undergraduates who begin attending college within five years after graduating from high school.
• Edward T. Conroy Memorial Scholarship:  This is a state administered scholarship program for full-time and part-time, degree-seeking undergraduate and graduate students.
• Diversity Grants:  Includes awards granted to students for the promotion of desegregation efforts.  Includes state, federal, and/or institutional awards.
• Federal Scholarships:  All Federal scholarships programs.
• Institutional Athletic Scholarships:  Institutional funds administered by the institution allocated to students based on athletic ability, regardless of additional award criteria.
• Other Institutional Scholarships:  Institutional scholarships where athletic ability is not a criterion.
• Private Athletic Scholarships:  Other scholarships based on athletic ability, which are awarded and funded by private sources outside your institution.  This includes programs for which athletic ability is a criterion regardless of additional criteria.
• Other Private Scholarships:  Scholarships funded by private sources outside the institution that does not include athletic ability as a criterion.
• Distinguished Scholar Community College Transfer Award:  This is a state administered program awarded to undergraduate students.
• Teach for the Health of It:  This is a state administered scholarship program for undergraduate and graduate students at any enrollment level.
• William Donald Schaefer Scholarship:  This is a state administered scholarship program for full-time degree-seeking undergraduate and graduate students.

Grants

• Federal Pell Grants:  This grant program is administered by the federal government and is based on need and is awarded to undergraduate students
• Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants:  The SEOG is a grant for undergraduates with the lowest Expected Family Contributions (EFC) and exceptional financial need.
• Other Federal Grants:  Report Federal grants and scholarships other than those listed above.  Include Workforce Investment Act (WIA) funding as well as all other educational benefits from the US Department of Veterans Affairs that is considered as part of the student's financial aid package.
• Educational Assistance Grant:  This grant program is administered by the state to full-time, degree seeking undergraduates.
• Guaranteed Access Grant:  This grant program is administered by the state to students who completed a college preparatory or articulated technical preparatory program.
• Part-Time Grant:  This grant program is administered by the state for part-time, degree-seeking undergraduates and students who are simultaneously enrolled in a secondary school and an institution of higher education (dually enrolled students).
• Grants from Private Sources:  Need-based grants, which are awarded and funded by private sources outside the institution but are processed through the institution.  Include private/outside source grants from foundations, individuals, corporations, and other states.
• Institutional Grants:  Report need-based grants awarded, disbursed, and funded by the institution.  These are grants primarily based on need, even though other non-need criteria may be used in programs.
• Jack F. Tolbert Memorial Student Grant Program:  This need-based grant program is administered by the state specifically for students attending private career schools.
• Federal Sources:  Includes Federal grants, scholarships, and fellowships such as the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) funding as well as all other educational benefits from the US Department of Veteran Affairs.
• Graduate and Professional School Scholarships:  A graduate only state administered need-based program for degree-seeking graduate and professional students.

Work-Study

• Federal Work-Study:  Includes job compensation to students who receive subsidies under the Federal Work-Study Program, both the federal contribution and matching funds provided by the institution.
• Institutional Work-Study/Student Employment:  Job compensation to students who receive subsidies under the institutional work-study program.  Awards under these programs are administered by the financial aid office, and both administered and funded by the institution.
• Assistantships (Research or Teaching):  Positions provided to graduate students who participate in supervised teaching or research activities in return for a stipend and either a tuition waiver or remission of fees.
