Headcount Student Enrollment

Fall 2014 headcount enrollment is 6,276, a decrease of 8 or 0.1% compared to last year's 6,284.  Increased enrollments occur in undergraduate Nursing, Master's of Science in Pharmacy, Master of Social Work, and Doctor of Nursing Practice.  These increased enrollments are offset by decreased enrollments in Dental Hygiene, Master's of Nursing, Master of Public Health, and Day and Evening Law programs. 

The fall 2014 term includes 39 students in the new Health Science Master's program in the Graduate School, and 56 students in the new Regulatory Science Master's program in the School of Pharmacy.  The enrollment file also includes 16 intercampus (visiting) students, Level Code IC, not included in enrollment data reported for the University of Maryland, Baltimore.

Summer 2014 headcount enrollment is 1,719, an increase of 4% from summer 2013 enrollment of 1,654. Increases in undergraduate and doctoral Nursing programs and online programs in Health Science, Pharmacometrics, Regulatory Science, and Research Ethics are offset by lower enrollments in Social Work, Law, and GPILS programs.

The summer 2014 term includes the first enrollments for the new Master of Science in Health Science program. The enrollment file also includes 2 intercampus (visiting) students, Level Code IC, not included in enrollment data for the University of Maryland, Baltimore.

Spring 2014 headcount enrollment is 6,205, essentially unchanged from spring 2013 enrollment of 6,289.  Increases in undergraduate Nursing and graduate Pharmacy program enrollments are offset by lower enrollments in undergraduate Nursing and professional Law programs.

The spring 2014 term includes the first spring enrollments for the new Certificate in Research Ethics program.  The enrollment file also includes 13 intercampus (visiting) students, Level Code IC, not included in enrollment data for the University of Maryland, Baltimore.

Winter 2014 headcount enrollment is 233, slightly lower than the winter 2013 term enrollment of 236.  Headcount enrollment is concentrated in undergraduate Medical & Research Technology, graduate Nursing, and professional PharmD programs.
