Senior Sustainability and Effectiveness Specialist, Facilities & Operations, Administration and Finance
Angela Ober has been at the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) since August 2021 where she works as the Office of Sustainability's senior specialist. In her role, she oversees the University's greenhouse gas inventory, uses geographical information systems (GIS) to create maps and analyze data related to campus sustainability initiatives, serves as a co-chair of the Sustainability Committee's Resilience Working Group, creates reports and other content for communicating UMB's progress toward carbon neutrality, and more. Prior to UMB, she served as Towson University's Office of Sustainability's environmental planner, working on campus sustainability initiatives and stormwater permit reporting. Her favorite aspect of sustainability is its breadth and how a holistic approach is needed. She is a proud first-generation immigrant and first-generation college graduate. In her spare time, she practices yoga and likes going on hikes and trail runs outdoors.
