National Walking Day

Congratulations on taking a step toward wellness.  Are you ready to lace up your sneakers and make a commitment to living healthier?  Please join us as we are here to help you on your journey to a healthier life.

  • Pass the Pedometer Challenge - 15 minutes is all it takes.  Complete the online form below!
  • Join the Movement Walk, in recognition of National Public Health Week, at the School of Nursing Courtyard at noon for a group walk.  URecFit, the Master of Public Health Program and the Community Public Health Nursing Program invite you to walk with community members around West Baltimore.  Walkers (eligible for URecFit membership) who complete the group walk will receive a buy one month get one month (BOGO) coupon for the indoor walking track.
  • Like to walk alone; cannot make it over to the Campus Center?  No problem.  The goal is to get out and walk.  You are already a winner.  But post photos of you walking on Twitter using the hashtag #UMBWalks to be entered into a raffle to win lots of great prizes.
