Cherita Adams likes what she does. As a career development manager in Human Resources, she makes a difference every day: “I consider myself extremely fortunate to have a job that provides me an opportunity to do important work with meaningful consequences.” One of her favorite parts of working at UMB is the people she interacts with daily — amazing co-workers who are intelligent, funny, and do their work with a great deal of integrity. She enjoys the freedom UMB offers her to create and be entrepreneurial.

Over the five years she’s spent on campus, Cherita has seen a gathering trend: “Increasingly, there’s a sense that collectively the UMB community is working toward a grand vision, a grand vision of inclusive excellence and improving the human condition. I was inspired to give to assist UMB in striving to achieve the vision and have a positive impact in people’s lives.”
