New student parking registration and returning student renewals for the Fall Semester starts August 1st. New student parking registration for the Spring Semester starts January 1st. During registration, garage rates are adjusted. After registration, all parker's will pay the posted visitor rates

• Fall Semester - August 1st to August 31st
• Spring Semester - January 16th to January 31st

If you have a commuting student permit, you must park at Lexington Street Garage, located at 660 W. Lexington St., at the corner of Pine and Lexington streets.

• All students must have a hangtag permit displayed while parking on campus.
• Student parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Parking and Transportation Services does not guarantee parking spaces.
• Commuting student permits are for use while students are attending classes, not for overnight parking.
• Daily rates start at 2:55 a.m.
• Student daily rate is $7.
• Lost ticket fees are applied to the maximum posted garage rate.

Failure to follow these procedures could result in a loss of parking privileges.

For new students or those who have never registered for parking on campus:

• You must register online. The cost of the permit is $5. 
• If you are not in the system, please do not create an account. Contact the cashier’s office at 410-706-5518
• Then make an appointment online using this link: https://outlook.office365.com/owa/calendar/UMBParkingCashiers@umbcits.onmicrosoft.com/bookings/
  • You must wait at least 24 hours after registration before you can make your appointment.
• Show your appointment to the security guard at the SMC Center (621 W. Lombard St., Baltimore, MD 21201)
• Bring your UMB One Card to pick up your permit and link your One Card to the parking system.

Returning students who previously had parking on campus must renew online.

Registered parkers have access to all UMB garages after 4 p.m. on weekdays and all day on Saturday and Sunday. Cars must be out of the weekend garage by 9 a.m. Monday.

Note: Student parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Student permits are for use while students are attending classes. Storage of vehicles is prohibited. Students may only possess one parking permit at a time.

Commuter students may choose other parking options through the University. Parking discounts are only available for registered students with permits. Unregistered student parkers will pay regular garage visitor rates.
