Government Affairs

The University of Maryland, Baltimore, Office of Government and Community Affairs (GCA) serves as the primary point of contact on behalf of the University with state, federal, and local government officials and their staff, as well as community leaders.  GCA develops collaborative opportunities and initiatives for the University, maintains positive relationships with government officials and community leaders, oversees legislation and related issues, guides testimony and information provided to public officials and community leaders, and ensures that the University has a coordinated and unified position on issues relating to the public sector.
