Under the supervision and direction of the Assistant Director, Aquatics:
- Assist with training, scheduling, supervising and evaluating Aquatics part-time employees and students. Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
- Provide spot coverage when employees are unavailable to ensure the facility remains in operation.
- Supervise and assist with daily operations of the Aquatics program.
- Maintain, monitor and help improve compliance of all policies and regulations.
- Provide feedback and assess Aquatics program.
- Research best practice to hire, train and schedule staff.
- Assist with hiring, training and scheduling of Lifeguard staff.
- Assist with reporting on Aquatics participation and assessment.
- Assist with Aquatics program/special event set up and planning
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Applicants must pass a background check.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to apply basic analytical skills; to operate manual and automated office equipment, personal computers and spreadsheet software to input data; to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; to prepare and present working papers and supporting documentation.
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all policies and procedures.
- CPR & AED certified or willingness to obtain.
