Dear Colleagues,

It gives me great pleasure to share some non-COVID-19-related news. Gov. Larry Hogan included a $1,000 bonus for all eligible state employees in his supplemental budget for Fiscal Year 2022.

That bonus, approved by the General Assembly during the legislative session April 2, will be included in your April 30 paycheck.

I’m delighted that Maryland’s leaders are recognizing and rewarding your hard work in this way. As always, I thank you for your dedication to the University of Maryland, Baltimore and to the people we’re honored to serve.
