Policy Statement

In addition to students, the faculty and staff of the University of Maryland, Baltimore are encouraged to participate in community service. Since community service is a significant component of our mission, the President has authorized work-release time for pre-approved community service participation. The Director of Community Relations in the Office of External Affairs can assist in finding appropriate community placement.
