Title: Student Section of Maryland Public Health Association (SMdPHA) (Public Health Advocacy)
Description: The Student Section of the Maryland Public Health Association (SMdPHA) is an organization open to all students from the University of Maryland, The Universities of Shady Grove, and the surrounding healthcare professionals and graduate students.They seek to serve the community, increase public health awareness, as well as public health advocacy and education. SMdPHA does a myriad of community service events including preparing meals with Moveable Feast, educating elementary school students for Program Healthy Picnic about exercise and eating healthy, volunteering at health fairs, and participating in the DEA Drug Take Back Day, among other events.
