Title: American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (Medication Consultation)
Description: American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP) is the international professional association that provides leadership, education, advocacy, and resources to advance the practice of senior care pharmacy and the promotion of healthy aging. The goals of the student chapter are to increase awareness of the opportunities available in the field of consultant pharmacy and to provide relevant educational programs to help prepare students for this exciting field. Currently, the UMB Student Chapter is the largest student chapter in the nation. ASCP does a number of community outreach activities, such as working with partners to provide Medicare Part D counseling to qualifying community members. The organization also participates in the Alzheimerýs Walk in September, as well as several volunteer activities with the Pickersgill Retirement Community.
