Community Programs in the School of Pharmacy
Title: A Bridge to Academic ExcellenceDescription: A Bridge to Academic Excellence (ABAE) is a collaborative community service project of the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. It provides academic support to area middle and high school students through tutoring and mentoring. ABAE targets those middle and high school students who wish to pursue health professional careers, including STEM2 careers, but may have difficulty in their math, science or English classes. The program currently provides tutoring to over 145 middle and high schools students from Baltimore City and the Baltimore/Washington metro area bypairing them with pharmacy, dental, law, medical, nursing, social work and physical therapy students at the university.
