Title: Maryland and International Brain Bee CompetitionsDescription: The Maryland Brain Bee is a question and answer neuroscience competition for high school students, developed by Dr. Norbert Myslinski of the Department of Neural and Pain Sciences of the University of Maryland Dental School. It consists of three levels of competition: an optional school level, a local level and the international championship. The local competition is one of 30 in North America. The winner of each local competition is invited to the International Championship to compete for $6000 in prizes, a free trip for 2 to San Diego to attend the Neuroscience Convention and a summer-long research experience in the lab of an internationally known neuroscientist. The International Brain Bee Championship is a two day event held at the University of Maryland, Baltimore and the National Institutes of Health in Washington DC.
