GETS and WPS

The Government Emergency Telecommunications Service (GETS) and Wireless Priority Service (WPS) ensure reliable communication during emergencies. UMB participates in GETS/WPS to facilitate timely notifications during emergencies that may challenge communication.

GETS

GETS cardGETS provides priority access and processing for emergency calls on landline networks. The program has a 98 percent success rate in overcoming network congestion. GETS operates across landline, cellular, and satellite networks with no additional hardware required. Users receive a card with a unique personal information number.

WPS

It is available across major and regional cellular networks and offers interoperability with landline networks. WPS is enabled on your cellular device and is activated by dialing *272 before placing a call.
