An image gallery consists of two different content types. Add the Image Gallery content type to a page to create an image gallery. To add images to the gallery, add instances of the Image Gallery Item content type to the same page. Each instance of the Image Gallery Item content type adds another image to the gallery.

Image Guidelines

• Both a smaller thumbnail image and a larger full-size image will need to be prepared and uploaded to the T4 Media Library. The thumbnail image will be first visible in a grid format on gallery load, and the full-size image will be visible in a lightbox, after clicking on its respective thumbnail.
• The recommended size for thumbnail images is 170 x 170 pixels.
• The Image Gallery will automatically adjust both the full-size image and thumbnail image size proportionally depending on which screen size (e.g., desktop, laptop, tablet, smart phone) the gallery is loaded. Therefore, use the largest full-size image possible to accommodate the largest screen size. Bear in mind the larger the image, the longer it takes to load.
• As a best practice, use the same horizontal dimension for all landscape format images and the same vertical dimension for all portrait format image. This ensures more consistency as users navigate each image in the lightbox. A good recommended common dimension is 1000 pixels.
• Please select images that are visually compelling and add value to the information on your page. No clip art!
• You may only use images that are legally sourced. For example, you are not allowed to select images from a google search and add them to the UMB website. Please abide by copyright laws.
