Is 5 digit dialing still possible?  Yes.

Once migrated, you’ll place outbound calls directly from Teams, something not possible today within Teams.

Do I still need to dial a 9 for external calls?  No, there is no need to dial a 9, nor a 1 for long-distance calls.

Keep using Cisco Webex Calling until your number is migrated. After migration, you’ll use Teams (desktop or mobile app) for all calls. 

Yes.  Sign in to Teams on any internet-connected device and you can place and receive calls from your UMB number.

Yes.   However, while off-campus, you’ll need to update your location in Teams to ensure emergency services go to the correct location.    

Yes.  Voicemails can be heard in Teams, and a recording is also sent to your email.

Will I have the same Voicemail PIN#?  No.  MS Teams Calling does not require a PIN #.

Not today.  SMS is being considered as a future enhancement.

Fax lines are in scope. Users will move to an eFax solution, and physical fax machines will be transitioned to a Teams-compatible platform.

From a user standpoint, there should be no visible change. CITS will update the backend technology so these services remain functional.

CITS is producing training videos on using calling within Teams, and our team will be engaged with each group from start to finish to make the transition as smooth as possible.
