Inclement Weather and Emergency Plan
The inclement weather and emergency plan is designed to ensure the safety of any students, faculty, staff and UMB invited guests who utilize the Campus Center. This plan is subject to change based on situational severity.
If the University states an advanced closure notice, the Campus Center will close at the announced closing time. For example, at Noon, the University announces it will close at 3 p.m., the Campus Center will close at 3 p.m.
If the University announces a delayed opening, the Campus Center lounge spaces on the first and second floor will be open starting at 6 a.m. for anyone on campus needing a place to shelter. Services such as URecFit, Event Services, Seven Scholars Bookstore, or Food Services will not open until the announced delayed opening time.
If the University closes before the Campus Center opens, the Campus Center will close for the day.
If the University announces it is closed after the Campus Center opens, the first and second floor lounge spaces will be open for 90 minutes after the closure notice for anyone waiting for transportation. For example, the University announces it is closed at 6:05 a.m., the Campus Center lounge spaces on the first and second floor will be open until 7:35 a.m. for anyone waiting for transportation. All patrons must exit the facility by 7:35 a.m.
