Inclement Weather and Emergency Plan

The inclement weather and emergency plan is designed to ensure the safety of any students, faculty, staff, and UMB invited guests who use the Campus Center. This plan is subject to change based on situational severity. 

Weather and emergency closure notices will be updated on the Campus Center website and Campus Life Services social media pages. 

If the University closes early ▾

If the University states an advanced closure notice, the Campus Center will close at the announced closing time. For example, at noon, the University announces it will close at 5 p.m., the Campus Center will close at 5 p.m.

If the University opens late ▾

If the University announces a delayed opening, the Campus Center lounge spaces on the first and second floor will be open one hour prior to the opening time for anyone on campus needing a place to shelter. For example, the University announces it will open at 9 a.m., the lounge spaces will open at 8 a.m. Services such as URecFit, the bookstore, and food services will open at 9 a.m.

If the University closes for the day ▾

If the University closes before the Campus Center opens, the Campus Center will close. 

If the University announces it is closed after the Campus Center opens, the first- and second-floor lounge spaces will be open for anyone waiting for transportation.
