Last fiscal year, UMB won a record-shattering $667.4 million in grants and contracts -- dollars that fund our research, training, and service activities. That sum is a 20 percent jump over the year before, and is the highest total ever recorded by a University System institution. In Dr. Perman's monthly column, he talks about just some of UMB's vital work accomplished with extramural support.
