PATIENTS Program, Area Church Solidify Partnership

For the past 10 years, Mount Lebanon Baptist Church (MLBC) and the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy’s (UMSOP) PATIENTS Program have worked together to improve community health outcomes and give West Baltimore residents a seat at the health research table. According to Pastor Franklin Lance, DMin, senior pastor at MLBC, a sincere and authentic relationship between the PATIENTS Program and MLBC allows them to serve and improve the health of the West Baltimore community the church calls home. This trusted partnership is central to their latest collaboration, “Community Mistrust and Measures of Institutional Trustworthiness (COMMIT).”
