New Deans to Lead Schools of Law and Medicine

UMB President Bruce E. Jarrell has announced that Renée McDonald Hutchins, JD, will be the next dean of the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, effective Aug. 1. Hutchins is returning to Maryland Carey Law, where she founded and taught the Appellate and Post-Conviction Advocacy Clinic, as well as traditional doctrinal courses and advanced seminars. She is dean and professor at the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law.

Jarrell has also appointed leading heart, vascular, and lung physician-scientist Mark T.
