First Cohort of UMB CURE Scholars Head to College

The UMB CURE Scholars Program is a groundbreaking year-round program that seeks to empower middle and high school students in West Baltimore and train them for competitive and rewarding research, health care, and STEM-related career opportunities. We are proud and happy to share that our first cohort of scholars recently graduated from high school and many are looking forward to attending college this fall.

We want to connect UMB alumni with some of these CURE scholars so they can have an in-town mentor for this next part of their education. If you are interested in participating and live within 20 miles of Loyola University Maryland, University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Spelman College, or Elim Bible Institute and College OR if you would like to be placed on a waiting list to mentor future CURE graduates, please reach out to Brian Sturdivant with your name, contact information, and the town in which you live.
