Volunteer to help the President's Outreach Council

Mentors Needed!
CLUB UMB is a mentoring program sponsored by the President's Outreach Council. The program provides enriched educational, health, and career experiences for children through a partnership with schools in the West Baltimore community.
UMB faculty, students, and staff volunteers are needed two hours each week to help CLUB UMB children with homework and to support inter-active science, health and physical fitness activities at one of the following schools:
- George Washington Elementary School, 800 Scott St.,
- Southwest Baltimore Charter School, 1300 Herkimer St.
CLUB UMB Volunteer Requirements
Time Commitment
Beginning in late October, volunteers generally are needed every Tuesday from 3-5 pm or every other Wednesday from 3:30-5 pm. However, volunteers also are needed to help with one-time events at our partner schools from time to time.
Volunteer Form
Complete the volunteer form and submit it as stated on the form. You will receive confirmation that your application was received and instructions regarding next steps.

Public Safety
Background Check
Background checks will be provided free of charge on campus, October 18th and 19th from 1-3 p.m. in room 309 of the Southern Management Corporation Campus Center.
Federal Work Study
UM students eligible for Federal Work Study can earn $17 per hour for mentoring through CLUB UMB. Contact the UMB Financial Aid Office at (410) 706-7347 to find out if you’re eligible.
