Student Fee Advisory Board

The Student Fee Advisory Board (SFAB) is composed of students from different programs who represent student interests in the annual mandatory fee review process. 

The SFAB advises the president and the Board of Regents of the University of Maryland, Baltimore on fees involving the Student Government Association, student transportation, student parking, campus center infrastructure, student services, housing, technology and late fees for tuition. Under each section you will see the approved fee for the Academic Year (AY). Learn more about how the board operates. 

 

Student Government Association Fee ▾

Student Government Association Fee supports the University Student Government Association (USGA) and its associated operations and programming.

Shuttle Fee ▾

The shuttle fee supports the operation of the UM Shuttle.

Student Parking Fee ▾

The student parking fee supports the operation of student parking on campus and is only for students who park on campus. This fee covers maintenance, renovations, operating costs, and increased expenditures of the parking garages. This fee also contributes towards the Lexington Market Garage Rooftop lease, as well as the parking contractors at each garage, which increase 2% per year.

Campus Center Infrastructure Fee  ▾

Campus Center Infrastructure Fee supports URecFit + Wellness, Event Services, Campus Life Business Services, One Card, and the debt service (bond) for the building. 

*In AY 20/21 the fee was renamed from Campus Center Infrastructure and Student Services Fee to Campus Center Infrastructure Fee. The fee was separated to better reflect what the fees entail, and the new names are Campus Center Infrastructure Fee and Student Services Fee.

Student Services Fee  ▾

The Student Services Fee covers student programming and support services for students. Some of these services include the writing center, student development and leadership, disability services, and international student support.

Late Fee ▾

Student Account Receivable Late Fee:   If payment is not received by the published due date, the semester outstanding balance is subject to a one-time late fee of 5% to a maximum of $200.00.
