UM School of Pharmacy Graduates 132 in Nation’s First Master’s in Medical Cannabis Science and Therapeutics

The University of Maryland School of Pharmacy is pleased to recognize the hard work and achievements of 132 students graduating in the first class of its Master of Science in Medical Cannabis Science and Therapeutics program, the only program of its kind in the nation. The program addresses the areas of basic science, clinical use, adverse effects and public health, and federal and state laws and policies surrounding medical cannabis. Online coursework is designed to accommodate students with or without a background in science or medicine as well as offer flexibility when completing assignments. In-person symposia are typically held once each semester to provide students with opportunities to network with peers as well as to meet and interact with experts in the science, therapeutics, and policy of medical cannabis.
