Gov. Larry Hogan, Sen. Ben Cardin, and more than 100 leaders from academia, government, and business gathered at the Center Club in January to congratulate Jay A. Perman, MD, on his new role as chancellor of the University System of Maryland. Perman used the occasion to introduce and praise University of Maryland, Baltimore Interim President Bruce E. Jarrell, MD, FACS.
