National Night Out is a nationwide effort to strengthen trust and foster positive relationships between police and the communities they serve. This year, the UMB Police Department celebrated National Night Out on Aug. 3, featuring free food, a video game truck, a bicycle helmet giveaway for kids, emergency vehicles from the Baltimore City Fire Department, resources from the UMB Community Engagement Center and other community partners, a mobile vaccine clinic, outdoor games, dancing, a visit from McGruff the Crime Dog, and much more. Two lucky attendees also won Chromebook laptops.
