            | Southern Management Corporation Campus CenterThe University of Maryland provides space for students, faculty and staff to come together as one campus. The Southern Management Corporation Campus Center provides a variety of spaces for the campus to utilize. The Wellness Hub, URecFit, Student Life Services, Event Services and Bon Appétit are all housed within the SMC Campus Center. Building Hours Wellness HubThe University of Maryland Wellness and Academic-Life Balance Program exists to affirm the role of wellness in advancing students' growth and development to ensure that they flourish academically, professionally and personally. The mission of the Wellness Hub is to assist students in achieving a state of academic-life balance within the dimensions of physical, emotional, social, cultural, ethical, intellectual, environmental and financial wellness. The Hubs aim is accomplished by collaborating effectively, creating easily accessible relevant services and programs, evaluating astutely and tailoring our programs and services to meet the unique needs of graduate and professional students. URecFitThe University of Maryland community can stay in shape and find recreation year-round with programs and activities offered through University Recreation and Fitness. The 60,000 square foot URecFit facility opened in August, 2009. It includes a swimming pool, a fitness center, a spinning studio, several multipurpose rooms, two basketball courts, two racquetball/squash courts, an elevated running track, space for power lifting and state-of-the-art cardiovascular and weight equipment with audiovisual enhancements. URecFit General Hours Services & GroupsThe Southern Management Corporation Campus Center also houses a variety of other offices that provide support to the students. International Student Services, Student Life Services, One Card, USGA and SGA are all located within the SMC Campus Center. Event ServicesThe Southern Management Corporation Campus Center houses a variety of flexible, attractive meeting and conference rooms. The space is open to the University of Maryland Campus and the University of Maryland Medical System, as well as outside external groups. The spaces range from small meeting rooms, which seat 12 to 22 people, to larger ballrooms and multipurpose rooms which have many potential set ups. Event Hours FoodBon Appétit Management Company resides within the Southern Management Corporation Campus Center. There are two locations in the SMC Campus Center. The first floor Bon Appétit To Go caters to those who want fast services for coffee and express grab & go food items. The second floor Café Bon Appétit provides more substantial meals with a variety of options. The SMC Campus Center also houses Bon Appétit Catering. All events within the SMC Campus Center must use their catering services. Bon Appétit also caters to buildings across campus. Spring Hours: |
