Fauci to Inspire Next Generation of Healthcare Professionals at University of Maryland, Baltimore’s Graduation
Anthony Fauci to Deliver Keynote Address to Graduating Nurses, Doctors, and Pharmacists at University of Maryland, Baltimore’s 2022 Commencement
INFO: Dr. Anthony Fauci, the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and Chief Medical Advisor to President Joe Biden will address the University of Maryland, Baltimore’s graduating class of 2022 at this year’s commencement ceremony on May 19. The graduating class of students includes future nurses, doctors, and pharmacists who played a critical role in patient care and vaccine research and development during the COVID-19 pandemic.
His keynote speech will be an excellent send off to congratulate and inspire these graduates as they enter the professional fields of medicine, healthcare, and research.

Media must enter the building through the side door located to the right of the main entrance. Look for a “Media Entrance” sign. A UMB representative will escort individuals to the media area for the ceremony.
Dr. Fauci will be meeting with a select group of graduates after the ceremony. Handout video of this interaction will be available to media upon request. These students will be available to media for interviews following the commencement ceremony.
