We are committed to educating the UMB community about opioid use, misuse, and abuse. For this reason, it is mandatory for all first-time full-time students to complete the prescription drug abuse prevention course through Everfi.

Title IX Training

University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) is committed to promoting a learning environment that is free from sex and gender-based discrimination, including sexual harassment and sexual violence. All students, including visiting students, are required to complete the online module. 

Safer Sex Supplies

In partnership with the Maryland Department of Health, we provide STI prevention education and free safer sex supplies, such as external/internal condoms, lubricant, and dental dams.

Skin Smart Campus

Recognized as a Skin Smart Campus by the National Council on Skin Cancer Prevention, we pledge to keep indoor tanning devices off our campus and our affiliated buildings and provide sunblock dispensers for outdoor UMB events.

We support a mother’s choice to breastfeed her baby while pursuing her graduate or professional degree. There are currently seven Lactation Centers on the University of Maryland, Baltimore campus.
