‌‌Red Ribbon Week raises awareness of drug use and the problems related to drugs facing our community, and encourages drug-free lifestyles. Join us to by celebrating Red Ribbon Week from Oct. 22-31 at the SMC  Campus Center.

TAKE THE PLEDGE

Join us for UMB's Red Ribbon Week kickoff event! URecFit will be hosting TAKE THE PLEDGE at the SMC Campus Center. Stop by to learn more on drug prevention, resources, and grab a red ribbon to wear for the week. Lite snacks provided.

UMB Addiction Awareness and Support Dinner

Join us for a delicious dinner, captivating presentation, and interdisciplinary discussion with Scholars For Recovery and allies for addiction awareness and education at UMB. Sam Bierman will speak about substance use disorders and recovery, especially among students and professionals.

DEA Drug Take-Back Initiative

To help improve medication safety in the local community, student pharmacists from Generation Rx in the American Pharmacists Association-Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP) at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy will partner with the UMB Police Force for the Drug Enforcement Administration's (DEA) Take-Back Initiative on Wednesday, Oct. 24, and Saturday, Oct. 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the SMC Campus Center.

Faculty, staff, students, and members of the local community are invited to turn in their unused or expired medication for safe disposal.
