In light of COVID-19 and relevant institutional policies, the organizing committee for Treating The Addiction Epidemic Conference has decided to postpone the April 17 conference, hopefully to early in the next academic year. More information will be provided once a new date for the event is set.

The students of the University of Maryland, Baltimore and Johns Hopkins University present a one-day symposium for students, physicians, and allied health professionals on the prevention and treatment of addiction. The goal of the conference is to provide attendees a focus on solving gaps in addiction training across health professions and specialties.

Keynote speaker Dr. Yasmin Hurd, Ward-Coleman Chair of Translational Neuroscience and Director of the Addiction Institute at Mount Sinai, will be joined by local experts in addiction in the disciplines of pharmacy, medicine, public health, social work, and law.

Registration is FREE. Continental breakfast and lunch provided.
