COVID-19 Update - 8/17/2021

Effective August 19, all lactation rooms on campus will reopen and have been added to the registration form.

Please be sure to register for a lactation room before use, and follow good hygiene practices by cleaning up the station after each use for effective infection control.  Daily cleaning will be provided by EVS Custodial Services.

Please follow the COVID-19 protocols for face coverings and return to campus guidelines.

The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) supports an individual’s choice to chestfeed/breastfeed their baby while pursuing their graduate or professional degree. There are currently on the UMB campus. Visit for location details of each Lactation Center. Any chestfeeding individual who is a UMB affiliate (faculty, staff, student, or their milkfeeding spouse/domestic partner) can use this service.


The University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) offers a Warm Line 24 hours a day, seven days a week for any and all chestfeeding/breastfeeding questions. The Warm Line is available at 410-328-3512.
