Lactation Center

COVID-19 Update - 6/24/2020

To ensure your safety and protection, the lactation rooms are currently operating under limited usage. The following locations are open for your lactation needs: School of Dentistry, Health Sciences Facility III, and Saratoga. Please register for a location before use.

Good hygiene practices and cleaning up your station after each use is required for infection control. Daily cleaning will be provided by EVS Custodial Services.

The Wellness Hub supports a mother’s choice to breastfeed her baby while pursuing her graduate or professional degree. There are currently seven Lactation Centers on the University of Maryland, Baltimore campus. Any nursing mother who is a UMB affiliate (faculty, staff, student, or their breastfeeding spouse/domestic partner) can use this service offered by the Wellness Hub.

The University of Maryland Medical Center offers a Warm Line 24 hours a day, seven days a week for any and all breastfeeding questions. The Warm Line is available at 410-328-3512.

Prospective users of the lactation rooms should register before contacting the administrative liaisons for each room. To register, CLICK HERE.
