This year we are teaming up with National Public Health Week to provide a wide array of programs. Students, faculty, and staff are invited to engage in health and wellness activities and learn life balance strategies for healthier lifestyle choices. Join us for health and well-being workshops and discussions, giveaways and free self-guided massages!

Personal Well-Being: Habits and Accountability

Are you considering adopting new healthy habit this Spring? Want to quit or change a habit? Please join Amanda Breon from URecFit and Wellness for this workshop about habit formation, health behavior change, and accountability. We will complete a self-evaluation of our personal well-being and consider steps for building and maintaining healthy habits.

Public Health Research at Maryland (PHRM) Conference: Local Action for Global Health & Equity

Wednesday, April 6  9 am -1 pm

This annual conference showcases innovations in public health research and practice and its implications for the health of our Maryland communities. It is made possible by a partnership between the University of Maryland School of Public Health (in College Park) and the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health at the University of Maryland School of Medicine (in Baltimore).

Toxic positivity

Please join this discussion-based workshop, for students to learn ways to talk to themselves and to others with warmth and compassion without falling into the trap of toxic positivity and invalidation. Join this discussion and practice of embracing the unique human emotional experience. Cameras are not required in this workshop, but mics are required for breakout groups and discussions.
