Megan Meyer is an associate professor and associate dean for academic affairs and the MSW program at the University of Maryland School of Social Work.
She received both her MSW and PhD from the University of California, Los Angeles and currently teaches courses in macro social work practice and leadership. During her 15 years in Baltimore she has worked on a number of community-building projects and is currently serving as co-investigator on a grant to evaluate two community-building initiatives funded by the Baltimore Community Foundation. Meyer’s research and publications focus on community organizing practice, social capital development in urban neighborhoods, and the behavior and efficacy of social movement organizations.
