LED Project Progress

UMB is converting light bulbs in buildings across campus from fluorescent to LED (light-emitting diode). This project will reduce energy costs and carbon emissions. Once complete, this project is estimated to save 5,300,000 kilowatt hours (kWh) each year, which is equivalent to the greenhouse gas emissions from 817 passenger vehicles being driven for one year.
