A Note to Graduates About Commencement
To Our UMB Graduates, Friends, and Families:
I congratulate you, our students, on your upcoming graduation. Your accomplishments are a source of great pride to us all.
As you know, our Commencement ceremony is Friday, May 15. In light of the unrest in Baltimore nearly two weeks ago, I wanted to let you know that UMB’s Department of Public Safety has determined that all commencement activities should proceed as planned. These events include all school ceremonies as well as our Universitywide commencement, the Party in the Park, and the graduates’ procession to the Royal Farms Arena.
Graduates, you’ve worked long and hard to reach this day, and I’m delighted that we’re able to celebrate your achievement with all the pomp and ceremony you deserve. I look forward to seeing you on May 15.
