Produce in a SNAP!

CEC Main Room | 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Shop Produce in a SNAP!, a terrific program brought to us by Hungry Harvest. Buy $7 bags of fresh fruits and vegetables at this food market. Items change every week. Please bring your own bag. Independence cards, cash, credit and debit cards are accepted.


Yoga

CEC Main Room | 5:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.
Kruti Ravaliya, Union Square neighbor and certified yoga instructor, guides the class with a sequence that links breath and movement. Beginners welcome. We provide the mats and blocks.

Spirit Feet Line Dancing

Enjoy a thriving community of women and men who like to move together. Burn calories and lose weight with the Wobble and Cupid Shuffle. Dancing increases energy and improves mental health.

Arrive early to meet with Griselda Funn, a community health worker from UMMC Midtown. She will support your health and fitness goals by taking your blood pressure and providing information on preventative services that the hospital offers.

Wednesday

Five Little Shares

CEC Main Room | 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Shop for low-cost groceries, including organic items sold by Baltimore Gift Economy's Five Little Shares market. Ulysses and Chrysalinn Archie have been sharing their abundance and building community with us for more than two years.

Case Management

CEC Main Room | 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Meet one on one with a social worker from Paul's Place on site. Talk about, individualized goal planning, crisis intervention, service navigation, and referrals to support and stabilize people and families who are in crisis.

Workforce Wednesday

CEC Main Room | 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Looking for help finding a job or job training? We help job seekers get on the right track. Receive one-on-one guidance about job resources in the area, resume writing, and applications. Consult with our staff team, including a Southwest Works representative and volunteers from UMB's Human Resources office.

Thursday

Police Activities/Athletics League (PAL)

CEC Main Room | 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Children (grades 3 to 6) may participate in a free after-school program with mentors from UMB Police Force. To register, contact Ms. Kelly Quinn at 410-706-8261.

 

Zumba

CEC Main Room | 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Shake it with Cherika Jones in her lively dance class. This is a supportive group of women and men who cheer for each other while burning calories and having fun. Bring a bottle of water.
