The President’s Student Leadership Institute (PSLI) is a co-curricular certificate program designed to expose students to contemporary issues in leadership and professional development in order to prepare participants for professional leadership in a diverse workplace. PSLI is an interprofessional program that creates opportunities for students in different fields to interact and learn from one another.
This program will utilize a series of lunchtime seminars (noon – 1 p.m. unless otherwise noted), discussions, and service opportunities to support the learning throughout the course of the academic year. All seminars take place in the SMC Campus Center on the third floor, unless otherwise noted. A light lunch will be available to PSLI candidates.
Throughout the academic school year, participants will spend approximately 12 hours in seminars and complete 30 hours of community service. Additional time may be spent on seminar pre-work and the end-of- the-semester reflections.
