The President's Initiatives are joint programs between the President’s Office and the Office of Interprofessional Student Learning & Service Initiatives. The President's Initiatives include the President's Student Leadership Institute and the President's Symposium and White Paper Project.
The President's Student Leadership Institute (PSLI)
The President’s Student Leadership Institute (PSLI) is a self-driven, co-circular certificate program focused on exposing UMB student leaders (or aspiring student leaders) to contemporary issues in leadership to prepare participants for professional leadership in a diverse and global society.
Select from the following paths: Career Development; Scholarly Research and Teaching; Effective Leadership; Entrepreneurship and Innovation; Inclusive Leadership; Wellness; and Inclusive Leadership Online (Shady Grove and Online Students Only).
President's Symposium & White Paper Project
The President’s Symposium and White Paper Project is an interprofessional initiative that engages faculty, staff, and students from all of the University of Maryland, Baltimore schools and academic programs in a yearlong conversation on a topic that is of interest and importance to the University and its community.
During 2019-2020, we will be exploring institutionalizing core values.
