What is a President's Fellow?

Fellowship Description

The President's Symposium and White Paper Project is an interprofessional and interdisciplinary program that explores issues impacting the UMB community. As a component of the President's Symposium, an interdisciplinary group of students is selected to participate in a mentored fellowship while researching and developing recommendations for the University.

Individuals selected to participate should expect to commit an average of 10-hours a week to the program until May 15th.


Participation benefits:

  • A total stipend accumulating to $2,500
  • Ability to work alongside an interprofessional team of students to write and publish a university-focused white paper
  • Individual meetings and interviews with UMB's leadership
  • Final presentation to UMB leadership and greater community on the resulting white paper’s findings and institutional recommendations
