This certificate program challenges students to critically examine themselves and the ideals that they hold about others while understanding the legacy of white supremacy in the formation of policy and practice in this country. The program aims to reframe the lens for understanding complex issues while connecting students with the causes and current context ultimately resulting in culturally responsive leadership practices.

Courtney is a proud alumna of Morgan State University and is currently a doctoral candidate in public administration at the University of Baltimore. Courtney’s research interests include impacts of microaggressions, climate for diversity, intercultural development, and employee engagement. Her dissertation examines the relationship between exposure to racial and ethnic microaggressions and employee engagement.
