Building Coordinators and Emergency Wardens play an important role in UMB’s emergency preparedness.

Building Coordinators gather relevant information from emergency wardens and serve as the main point of contact for the building with emergency responders.

Emergency Wardens encourage others to evacuate the building. Once outside the building, wardens direct occupants to the assembly area and relay relevant incident information to the Building Coordinator.
