Nicholas Wilken

Nicholas Wilken was born in New Jersey. As a kid, he enjoyed playing sports, being outside, and especially fishing. He moved to North Carolina before his sophomore year of high school, which is when his passion for medicine and dentistry began. He was fortunate to meet an oral and maxillofacial surgeon who would serve as an incredible mentor. After high school, he continued his pursuit of a career in medicine and dentistry at the University of North Carolina-Wilmington. After graduation from UNCW in 2011, he was accepted by the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. He was privileged to match with the University of Maryland Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department Residency Program, where he began his residency training in July 2015. After completion of the first year of training, he is looking forward to beginning his medical education at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Nicholas has enjoyed meeting the needs of his patients and looks forward to continuing to expand his knowledge to provide the highest level of patient care possible.
