Jazmin Jones

Jazmin JonesJazmin Jones is a Colombian-American third-year student at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry (UMSOD).

She serves in several leadership roles at UMSOD, such as Class of 2022 president and Global Health Student Association vice president, and is an executive board member of the Hispanic Dental Student Association, American Student Dental Association, and the student chapter of the Maryland Academy of Pediatric Dentists.

Jones also is an Army Health Professions Scholarship Program recipient and is looking forward to serving as an Army dentist upon graduation. Her main academic interests lie in pediatrics and global health, both fields in which she is pursuing research.

She is passionate about diversity and inclusiveness and is excited to be a member of the University of Maryland, Baltimore’s Diversity Advisory Council.

Jones received bachelor’s degrees in Human Biology and Theater with a minor in Health Care-Social Issues from the University of California, San Diego. Outside of her academic endeavors, she enjoys spending time with friends and family and exploring the East Coast.
