Mobile UMB App

Put UMB in the palm of your hand. Our free mobile app offers you the UMB experience on the go. Download from the Apple App Store or Google Play now; the apps included are listed below as well as our options for push notifications.

Personas

The UMB app is configured to deliver the most relevant information to audiences through the use of personas and opt-in push notification channels. Personas provide a customized experience of the app based on the audience it serves.

To select your persona experience click on the person icon in the top right-hand corner of the mobile app screen and click My Persona.

Mobile UMB’s Personas are:

• Student
• Faculty/Staff
• Community Member

Push Notifications

Push notifications are messages from the app that are sent to the user’s smart phone, keeping the community at UMB up to date on news, announcements, and events. Limited key updates concerning important changes at UMB are sent to all app users while other timely and relevant information are sent based on the user’s persona and opt-in topic preferences.

In order to receive push notifications, make sure that push notifications are enabled for Mobile UMB app and follow the following steps to opt-in to available topics:

1. Click the person icon in the top right-hand corner of the mobile app screen
2. Select “Messages” and tap the tab labeled “Opt-in”
3. Select “Explore all opt-in channels” to read about the featured channels
4. Subscribe to the topics that interest you!

Available opt-in topics under each persona include the following. These channels are shared among all three personas unless noted.
