Assisting Students with Mental Health Crisis (LUNCH PROVIDED)

In this lunchtime seminar, UMB students will learn how to assist their colleagues and classmates who may be experiencing mental health issues. Led by Dr. Jenna Silverman, a psychologist in the Student Counseling Center, students will be introduced to a practical tool called the “Assisting Students in Distress Folder.”

This folder contains a quick reference guide, as well as information on how to recognize symptoms, respond to those in need, and refer them for therapy or other immediate help.

A copy of the folder will be given to all participants.
