According to the CDC, handling mail and/or packages is not likely to be the primary means of contracting or
spreading COVID-19. However, it is still important to follow good hygiene practices when handling mail.
When receiving a package or mail:

•Limit in-person contact when accepting a delivery or maintain physical distance from the delivery
person.

• Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds after touching the package.

• Use hand sanitizer with at least 60 percent alcohol when soap and water are not available.

• Avoid touching your face, eyes, nose, or mouth.
