Call the UMB COVID-19 Hotline

December 1, 2020

If you've been diagnosed with COVID-19, it's not enough to let your doctor know.

If you report to campus for work or classes, or plan to visit campus and have COVID-19, call the UMB COVID-19 Hotline immediately at 1-800-701-9863 to allow medical staff to start contact tracing. This helps us identify others in our UMB community who may need to be notified about exposure risk.

Do not feel ashamed if you were diagnosed with COVID-19. Sometimes despite our best efforts, or even when we have a lapse in judgment, the virus can find a way to break through. Your call, as well as your diagnosis, is confidential. Your name will not be shared with contacts without your permission. They will only be notified that they have been in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19, and whether the circumstances around the contact means they should be tested and quarantine.

The UMB COVID-19 Hotline will not call you to start the process. You must make the call.
